Personally I say yes. I would buy more games for the 360 instead of the ps3. And it might have stayed my preferred console, meaning I would have bought a slim upgrade.
I had live for a year then cancelled it, since I didn't use it all that much. Since then I buy all multiplatform games on ps3 in case I want to try the online features. I don't care much about fps online, and I'm not going to pay live fees just for Forza.
