Trust me neither one of them are psychopaths though one of them is a alcoholic. Yeah they are still my friends. You have got to understand growing up in the country isn't like growing up in a city. You do not have the luxury of turning down friendships with the few people that live near by. Yelling for an adult which was probably miles away wasn't practical, and calling the police would have deprived me of friends that I needed. Sometimes you have to take the good with all of the bad. Tight communities have rules about silence, and breaking those rules is a good way to be alienated.

I couldn't afford to lose three friends them and their older brother. When the next closest friend lived six miles away. That would have made for some terribly lonely summers. The price was simply too high not to be a part of half the twisted shit they were involved with. Principles and a conscience would probably have only left me alone in a room by myself for months. Sometimes you have to play the card you were dealt.

This post disgusts me even more. Wish more people were unlike you.
