While I would never buy a Microsoft system the reason why I said yes is because I would never again pay for online gaming on home consoles (I did way back for Phantasy Star Online on GC; one of the few games that GC had for online). The online experience on the Wii was good enough for me this generation (FC for each game was annoying but that was about the only issue I saw, and they are making it just 1 system code now). While live has many things that Nintendo WiFi doesn't; I am sure Nintendo will match most of what live offers with the Wii U online service for free. I just see no point in paying for online console gaming.
