You are right, but this is not only exclusives. I would say the majority of 3rd party multiplatform games sell more on the xbox360 than the ps3. Not always, but usually. An idea I came across that could be compleely wrong as I have no proof of it being true is the average user demographic and subsequently the average user age of each console. I am under the impression that the ps3 is more supported by an older crowd than the 360. Older people tend to have more responsibilities beyond just schooling. Anything from having a job to raising children can get in the way of gaming and so ps3's crowd are more selective of their games and purchase less.
This is simply my impression and could be completely wrong. if the user demographic for both systems was similar, I would have to attribute it to lower marketing by sony.
