Good question. Sounds like Microsoft will be holding alot of people by the balls next gen.
Now, this is pure and wild speculation on my part, but is there a correlation between this and the "rumored partnership" between Microsoft and Sony? Could Microsoft be using this as leverage (boy and what leverage it is) to get Sony to agree something?
