First parties have a luxury that third parties don't. They only work with one console. People don't seem to understand after four years that developing a multiplatform is a completely different thing than optimizing for the strengths of one console.

Its amazing how most developers have no problems with the PS3, infact many games look or perform better on the PS3.  One would assume this would be the developers lack of skill and not the fault of the system.

More look and perform better on the 360

You are right, more games do perform better on the 360, but that is beause only the best devs can get the best performance out of the PS3, not to mention the PS3's split RAM, and the 360' unified RAM. Take Treyarch vs IW for example as someone else already pointed out.

If a particular game looks better on the 360, it's because the developer's aren't very talented, or just did a half-assed job, because we know that the PS3 can do better. (See Black Ops)

Still most Muliplats perform better on 360. How the ram works gives more flexiblity.  Both systems are on par with each other. 360 has positives and negatives as does the PS3.  The developers are not lazy, they are making a multiplatform game and not an exclusive.
