I think, because I am going to pre-order this eitherway, that Legendary should be the only way to go with this skull turned on... hopefully you can turn skull's on or off unlike in Halo 1 where each level had its own skull that had to be found each time you played through it and was only in effect for that level, so for that matter it would be good to actually be able to collect the skulls this time 'round.


I don't even remember there being skulls in halo one.  Is that a PC only feature perhaps?  I'd think you couldn't get any achievments with a skull that powerful turned on.

As for the skull business I already explained about how I had a dream of reading a guide on how to find the 'Skulls in Halo 1' and mistook it for real life, the amazing thing is I did this before Halo 2 too :|. But I would imagine that achievements for completing the game or levels would be disabled with that skull turned on, if not then that is a major oversight because vast amounts of the game would suddenly become stupidly easy even on legendary.
