2001 - GTA (cheating a little)
2002 - Battlefield
2003 - Rise of Nations
2004 - Killzone (though first is shit)
2005 - God of War
2006 - Motorstorm
2007 - Mass Effect
2008 - Valkyria Chronicles
2009 - Batman Arkham Asylum (new IP as far as I'm concerned)
2010 - Red Dead Redemption (lets say this is only a spiritual successor)
2011 - Either LA Noire or Rage, seems like a weak year
