Price - Tie Yes, the lower end PSV (aka: the one I'm going to buy) costs the same as the 3DS. What about the $300 3G version that requires a data plan?
Battery Life - Tie (Still dont really know the battery life for the Vita yet) Yeah, we don't know but from experience with the 3DS, I can pull a lot more out of that battery than 3-5 hours, depending on the settings. I also know that, from using a smart phone, the more things the device is doing at once, the faster that battery is going to die. I'll go on record and say there is NO WAY the PSV's battery beats the 3DS, both with max settings and minimum settings. Quote me on this.
Camera - Vita From what I've read in this thread, camera is a tie (both .3 megapixel) however, the 3DS takes 3D pics. Maybe the PSV will record video. Then again, maybe the 3DS will too via an update.
Power/CPU/GPU - Vita No arguement here. The 3DS is a powerful beast, though. The 3DS screen probably won't be as bright and beautiful as the Vita's either. Even then, on the brightest settings, It's a thing of beauty. Games in the launch window (Res Evil Mercs, Dead or Alive) are boasting graphics that can compete with the current HD systems, already. I think the PSV and 3DS will be closer than you think in this regard. Browser - Vita Too soon to tell. I'm sure the Vita takes it in this battle, though. The 3DS ALREADY allows you to go on the internet and play a game at the same time. Comes in handy when you're stuck in Legend of Zelda's water temple, I tell ya! And again, it's upgradeable. Wi-Fi can't compete with 3G, though.....unless you count speed. Graphics - Vita Like I said, they're going to be pretty comparable (graphics=/= power?) in this regard. It's going to come down to what developers do with that power. Remember the PS2 was the weakest console last gen and yet God of War 2 could easily stand along side the best from the Gamecube and Xbox? I bet it's the same thing, this time around. You seem to be making the same mistake a lot of people are making and associating the name DS with poor graphics. The 3DS isn't a slouch--but it's no PSV, either. Design - Vita (My opinion) Your opinion. Technology - Vita What the heck does this mean? Is it different from graphics? 3DS's motion controls and AR games are pretty spot on. Touch pad, maybe? Elaborate on this one, will ya! Launch Games - Vita (This can change,But right now Vita seems to be having a good launch lineup) Vita's launch lineup will be facing the 3DS's full fledged lineup. Nobody who buys the Vita is going to compare the games available for the system at launch to only games available during the 3DS launch! Has the 360 vs PS3 taught you nothing? Gears wasn't a launch game but it damn sure got compared to Resistance Fall of Man in 2006. Portability - 3DS Agreed. But since I'm trying to disagree with you on everything you say, I'll disagree. I carry my PSP and 3DS in leather cases. I'll do the same with the Vita when I get one. Yeah, I can fit the 3DS in my pocket without the case (exactly the same size as my DSi) but I won't. I don't want to damage the finish on my portables. Durability - Tie For some reason, I doubt that the portable with two analog nubs jutting out, an exposed touch screen on the front, and an exposed touch pad on the back is going to be as durable as the 3DS with its clamshell design. Online - Vita We don't know. The 3DS's online is miles ahead of the PSP (and even the Wii), though. I'm sure Sony will provide the better experience with the PSV. Then again, the 3DS can evolve (it already has since launch). It's got universal friends lists, tells you who's online, what they're playing, etc. Wi-Fi play is pretty spot on and lag free. I only wish the 3DS had messaging, voice chat, and online leaderboards. All of these are possible on the 3DS--just not being done for some reason.
3D - 3DS (Obvious) No argument, here.
Features/Content - TBA (Dont really know the Vita's content and features yet. Netflix, Pandora, Ect..) Agreed. And like the aquisition of Netflix on the 3DS has shown, just because a feature isn't available now, that doesn't meant it won't be available soon. 3DS has some interestingly quirky features, too. I can't describe them.
Conclusion: As of right now, The PS-Vita is looking better than the 3DS in almost everyway shape, and form. I know Nintendo has always controled thehandheld market for gaming, But i really do beleive that the PS-Vita will dethrown Nintendo for handheld king once it releases. The PSP is still outselling 3DS in Japan and Europe right now which means that there is still life for Sony to take down Nintendo for the handheld market. Though i am sure the 3DS will start to sell really well once Nintendo releases another Pokemon or Mario game. However i still think Vita has a brighter future ahead of it because it seems to be so much more promising.

You asked what I though. And in reality, it's going to be hard to argue with some of the features that I expect to be packaged with the PSV. There are features (like being able to play movies from the memory stick, comic book reader, etc.) that the PSP have had for years that the 3DS doesn't even have, now. There's a reason why I still carry my PSP around even after owning a 3DS for close to a month. I'm hoping to be surprised by the PSV, too. I'm just playing "Devils Advocate" and trying to show you that the desparity between the PSV and the 3DS are nowhere near as pronounced as you make it out to be.
One thing that's the dark horse in all of this is this is the smartphone. Almost everybody I know already has one. Movies, music, web browsers, GPS, Skype, etc. are ALREADY available for us, on the go. A lot of things that make the PSV stand out from the 3DS are nullified for a lot of people. Simply comparing console vs. console, I'd be a fool to think the 3DS is going to beat the PSV when it comes to features. It's just not as important as you think for a lot of people. Especially the 3G feature. How many people do you expect to purchase a PSV 3G plan that don't already have a smartphone with 3G and 4G? 3G is a great thing to have, don't get me wrong. It's just not going to offer online gameplay (unless it's checkers or something--not Call of Duty) that a lot of people are thinking it will be. Maybe 3G will prove its worth when it comes to downloading games or something. And don't forget that a lot of people don't like being forced to go with AT&t.
Also, you left out quite a few PSV advantages (but since I'm taking the pro-3DS side, I'll leave it to you to find out what they were......). And don't get me wrong. I'm definitely buying a PSV. I already own two PSP 3000's and I love them WAY more than I love my DS's (three phats, two Lites, and one DSi). Like I said before, I'm just offering some opposition to your point view. This battle is going to be won with games. Whichever device has the best games for the most consumers will walk away with the title, this time. Nothing is pre-determined. Just keep in mind that, while we're waiting for the PSV to launch, the 3DS is already on the market selling, evolving, and entertaining......
