i don't follow... it was a feature called remote play possible between any ps3 and psp shown here :

i'm no expert on this technology but i wouldn't say that nintendo's method is the only way of achieving this and that there are no other ways to possibly replicate it can you? it ( the vita ) has cams, gps, an internal compass etc who says none of ithese features can achieve what you described
