I think ALL of you guys are jumping to conclusions here, for one we don't know the graphical potential of WiiU that well as we have no idea about the specs...and second none of us know what the next consoles from sony and ms will be like either so to say they all will be in the same graphical range is silly too.

and again I remember ninty fans going nuts about 3ds graphics and said things like psp2 won't be much of a graphical leap/power leap etc. We know how that turned out right? so let's wait and see

Mr Khan talks about range of portability, not power. PS360 is not in the same range than a PC, but both are in the same range of portability (shaders especially). Wii U has it. Crytek and Epic has confirmed their engines running on Wii U, and I don't remember the third one. They won't trash their work during this years or ignore a fourth platform to sell (if the market is there). More silly is to ignore this.

Some see 3DS games and just think that's what the console can do, but forget about the 3D effect or that this are the first games. To judge a platform, you need time.

I agree the difference most probably won't be the same level as HD vs Wii this gen BUT again we have no idea what the next ps xbox will be like..even architecture wise..if they end up being closer to each other a lot and have  big enough difference to WiiU, most multiplat makers won't even bother porting the game over. So to judge the ease of porting we should wait to know more info.

psv already has shown games that look much better than the best 3ds has shown..if you just go by the raw hardware cpapabilities don't kid yourself thinking 3ds will be able to match psv with or without 3d. it just not gonna happen

There will be significant pressures on Sony and Microsoft to work within established architectures. If everyone's working with IBM as rumored, there shouldn't be any outstanding issues. Early in this generation, Sony saw the clear disadvantages to trying exotic architectures

There is pressure for standardization on everyone, and everyone saw the consequences of market fragmentation this generation

well we have to wait and see I suppose :) I wouldn't be surprised if ps/xbox ends up being much closer to each other in power and capabiltiies than they are to wii and devs will just make games for those two and do late ports for wii with reduced quality to test the waters. I think sony and ms would like to differentiate themselves from nintendo, at least when it comes to 3rd party support

so again too early to tell
