Wrong (for the US). DMCA means format shifting by breaking copy protection is illegal. Even if the protection is weak.

USA =/= the World. You can't apply US laws for everywhere.

I live in the UK but I accept US law affects business practices and other governments' policies so much that it might as well be everywhere.
