Um, I'm quite sure people have always been aware of the fact that insects can fly (and so can mammals, such as bats). And people aren't really speculating abiut religion, as religion only exists in the minds of people. They're just making things up.

i do not believe in relgion but do believe in GOD as in that first power not in the way that religion describes it
