Try steak. It's really easy.

1. Season your steak. 1'' thick steak.

2. Put pan on stove and heat it up. Just need the pan hot first.

3. Add butter and just angle your pan so the pan is now covered in a layer of butter to prevent burning.

4. Drop your steak in (gently, so it doesn't plash) and brown your steak both sides. Probably about a minute per side.

5. Toaster Oven (don't need the full size oven for a slice of steak) should be preheated to 350F while you're browning your steak. Convection oven supposedly work better.

6. Put the browned steak into the oven for 4+ minutes, depending on how your like your steak. I like mine at ~6 minutes.

7. Let your steak rest on a cutting board or plate for a few minutes before serving.

 

If you did everything right, the steak should come out with the inside equally cook/same color with the coating of browned outside.
