But even if this ends up being true, it just goes to show how big of a communication problem there is between Nintendo and the gaming community. As if Nintendo had anything to gain by holding back on announcements and unnecessarily making their fans worry that they might never see a particular game reach American shores.

It wouldn't have been a prank, it is the latter that you mentioned, a communications snafu.


Likely their Facebook/Twitter are no more connected to the actual Nintendo of America decisionmaking processes than if you call their helpline or e-mail customer support, so even the response we waited for was just like if you call the helpline and the goon on the phone has to talk to his/her manager.

Response 1 was the goon, response 2 was the manager, and none of that had jack to do with anyone with real decisionmaking power.

Of course, this random bit of info is utterly unsubstantiated, though anyone spreading false hope at this point would incur severe wrath on the part of gamers, so we'll see...
