We're not gonna be smarter in 500 or 5,000 years, evolution takes longer than that, unless we cheat and genetically engineer ourselves. We're as smart (and as dumb) as people living 50,000 years ago.
I'll say though that physical currencies will disappear (at least in the developed word). Also, we'll probably have a single device with many purposes. E.g., we'll be able to use our "mobile phone" or whatever as a credit card, an ID, and of course for calling, surfing the net, etc. Augmented reality will probably be very important and we'll be able to use this device to see all street names, directions, and all information we can think of real time. Also, NO flying cars.
But to be honest, the future is nearly impossible to predict, so I may well be dead wrong.
