estimates are 300 sextillion stars but the problem is we will never get an answer what we can possibly percieve is the hubble radius that means we can see a bubble of 26 billion lightyears ofcourse the universe is much larger but the light had no time to reach us because the universe is to young. we know the universe is flat that means its either infinite or a lot bigger then we can see. also it looks like the laws of nature vary on huge distances . which could point to a truly mind boggling reality. my guess the universe is atleast as big that common understanding cant picture it. we are practically prisoners of our natural laws no matter what we do we wont be able to really see whats going on. the smarter our technology becomes the bigger the universe will be.
