Yeah. I, for one, don't like the PS3, but I'm all for getting a 360, and I currently am a huge DS/Wii/PC gamer (in that order).

I believe that means that I am not, in fact, a biased fanboy.

And I totally agree - if you're going to advertise your system as a major HD system, then sell it as a major HD system. Meaning - have it packaged so you can use it as HD straight from the box, no extras necessary.

Although, I think the reason they didn't package any extras in would be because everybody (see: 100%) buying a PS3 will have a TV that is composite-ready. However, not quite that high a percentage actually have component-ready TVs. As a result, to keep everybody happy, they'd have to package in both. So, they decided to go the cheaper route and make sure at least everybody will be able to at least use their system.

Even though component-cables are super cheap and most people wouldn't mind purchasing those separately if they really had to.
