Also without the moon earth rotation would have stopped leading to half year long days and nights extremly fast never ending winds and one huge continental mass at equator everything else would drown. bigger iron core is not important because of gravity but because of plate tectonics without it no land recycling all land would be washed into the sea also no co2 recycling which would lead to venus like environment discovering alien radio signals which arent send to contact earth highly unlikely. they become very fast weak and cant be distinguished from background radiation we wouldnt notice earth2 10 lightyears away which is practically on our doorstep . i believe we will discover life through analysis of exoplanet atmospheres in the next 100 years or find microbes in our solarsystem. |
Guys from SETI today have equipment that they could hear the needle falling down on moon(if there would be some gas to transport sound on moon).In space radio signals are steady.Every radio signal can be distinguished from the background cause all artificial signals look much different.Once we heard artificial sound from 220 light years in distance so maybe someone is looking too and the same as we are they are shooting blind locations cause it was clearly artificial and non earth,non our solar system for 100% sure.
