Every new census the US redefines what racial group you can be a part of. Historically every census is different so the next census might further separate people of Hispanic origin. What does this tell us? that race is fluid and unrealistic especially when it is defined by the government. Another funny thing as being white with greenish blue eyes I can still claim Hispanic and even do just by being one quarter Mexican. I do this to gain any privilege I can for being a supposed minority. If I can claim Hispanic than it just shows flaws in the system and that accurately defining race is impossible.
