Good and popular are not mutually exclusive, as the film industry will certainly tell you. As a measurement of 'good' exclusive with the above critera, almost all the game mention in the OP has to be removed and in their placed, games like Wii Fit etc added.

I don't understand your point. I don't think I've said anything remotely like Wii exclusives are either good or popular, but never both at the same time.

Also, do you really think it would bug me to see the top five Wii exclusives being Wii Fit (Plus), Wii Sports (Resort), Mario Kart Wii, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Well, the last one perhaps.

I think I am definitely missing something then.

Your post was in response to an another post that disagree with the original post which claim Wii exclusive are the best and provided a listed example.

Statement; We has the best exclusive

Disagreement; It's complete nonsense because (source: critical acclaim) says otherwise

Rebuttal; Not true since (source: sales evidence) clearly indicates Wii has the best exclusive, ergo sales ie popularity is the ultimate measure.

Finally there is me who dispute this by claiming that Wii does not have the best exclusive just because they sells more, popularity does not always define a 'good game' and vice versa. (Whether the Wii has the best game is not my dispute, I am arguing that measuring 'the best' shouldn't be through sales)
