Wow. Come on people.

Its not as if upscaling anything will take the ENTIRE staff at SE to accomplish.

Hell, remember how easy the God of War team said the upscaling was? Taking X. X-2, XII for the PS3 should not be that much work at all. What might take them some time would be porting it over to the 360 as well.

Ether way, all of this could easily be accomplished without effecting the work being done on Type-0/FFXIII-2/FFvsXIII.

It's not that I think it will be much work, it's just that I want those resources elsewhere.

Also, it was reported to have taken the GoW collection 6 months. That's 2 linear 10 hour action games versus 3 content packed open-ended 30+ hour RPGs.  It won't be nearly as easy and quick. Even if it only takes six months and they use a bigger dev team size for the project, that's 6 months of employee man power that could have been put into a game that people were waiting for since 2003...

It took less than 4 months to complete

They also hired an outside studio to do it, while allowing the team to continue working on GoWIII.   The teams for the upcoming FF games are already set on their projects and chances are that anything done in this manner would not effect those teams at all (nor the time tables to releasing their games).

Hell, Bluepoint games is working on Team ICO collection right now, what a perfect project to give them after that is completed.  Based on their website they are also working on MGS HD collection.

I still say those resources could be better put to use on VS and Type-0. SE has pumped out enough ports/remakes.

While the FF ports could be outsourced to another developer, like God of War. God of War is about 15 hours long, FF12 alone is a 200 hour game. i think the level of content in the game would require a lot more time and resources than God of War 1 or 2.

and God of War is owned by Sony, so they wouldve covered the costs and allocated the project, the decision was probabily never in Santa Monica's hands, with FF Sqaure would have to cover the costs and resources themselves, which would probabily be better spent on other games.

however i would like to play through FF12 in HD again one day. but still, i'm not too bothered since FF12 was not made in the way it shoulve been, so even then i would feel like its missing something.
