I don't think this article has enough credibility to even be considered a rumor.
This seriously sounds like something a kid made up during recess at school.
Anyway, both MS and Sony have stated a 2014 launch or later for their next home consoles. They are going to put the Wii U in a Dreamcast position (though the Dreamcast was certainly more exciting).
