I can't really give credentials to whether I am a competent and willing debater other than my own word but I will confirm that I am ready to give a posts that meet to quality requirements and have frequently argued upon this particular topic...for both sides. Opinion having altered over the years.

I'm male and have passed the teenage years, you'd have a 98% chance of being right with both spellings.

On topic:

It's not a neccessity. After all, one can hold ability to argue a position with skilled execution yet lack the empathy to understand the other side.

However, I shall be looking and waiting eagerly for any information releases on this.
