have you even played these games (other than gears). you have no idea what you are talking about. ignoring you calling this games linear with no exploration (which does not make their graphics any less impressive to more open games). being linear would have absolutely no correlation to the amount of tricks being done to fool the player to believing it has better graphics.

i can garentee that Rage will have inconsistant frame rate, not locked, will have screen tearing, and be sub HD. with subpar animations. Uncharted will be locked 30fps, great AA, 0% screen tear, have best animations, and be in HD.

id didnt just use some voodoo to find some secrect lost power in these consoles, that no other developer knows of, to make their game have all the stuff KZ, GOW, and Uncharted have, and then be kinda open world and 60fps. sorry im just not buying it

I dont care if i get banned for this but you and lot of other Sony followers on this site are acting like Uncharted or whatever exclusive Sony tells you to hype next is beyond anything which is pure bullcrap, seriously the games i listed there are very linear especially compared to a game like Rage so nit pick all you want but it doesnt change the fact that Rage is bigger and running at higher FPS than of those games so deal with it.

Even though I disagree with his method of putting out his argument, he does have a point. All we know about RAGE is that it looks good based on what ID want to show us, everything is monitored and marketed to send a specific message and that is that the game looks and runs great. The same message and marketing was sent out about games likes Crysis 2, Alan Wake and GT5, when those games finally released, we finally saw all the faults they were hiding during their marketing blitz; framerate problems, screen tearing, sub HD, bugs, pop in issues and etcetera. Gears 3, Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 are known quantities because we've seen the previous iterations already running on consoles and looking fantastic, RAGE is still a mystery, it could come out and suffer a whole bunch of technical issues, we'll just have to wait and see.

Pointing out Sony followers is silly, you've been on this forum long enough to see that other console owners do the exact same thing, even Nintendo fans have started following suite with the Wii-U tech demos.

Pre-release graphics hype is always the worse, Lair taught me to always remain sceptical, especially when the developers have never worked on the current consoles before even though it's six years into the generation.
