To be honest, the contents of my SD card have been used in court, several times (we'd print the pics out, of course). I didn't always have a camera but I always had my phone. I took pics of everything. And while I enjoyed having that job and I think I'm pretty normal, I think that I lost some of my humanity because of some of the things I saw. But, this isn't about me. And I do genuinely feel sad for what that daughter had to go through. If I thought about it hard enough (which I tend to not do because I'd depress myself), I'd probably be crying right now. |
Becoming less sensitive to some estimulations is by no means equal to losing your humanity. It is part of the mechanism that our mind activates in order to go on.
