Kickbacks actually want you to move around the maps, unlike Killstreaks. You can win Kickbacks by:
- reviving team-mates (promotes teamwork)
- defending team-mates (promotes teamwork)
- avenging team-mates (promotes teamwork)
- assisting team-mates (promotes teamates)
- Picking up treasures(promotes anti-camping)
- Getting melee kills (promotes anti-camping)
- Getting sneak kills (promotes anti-camping)
- Hi fiving over a dead body (promotes teamwork AND anti-camping)
Not really seeing many similarities

Dude, I was just about to copy-paste this from the N.Dog forums until I realized it was you posting there. Hah!
I completely agree. This is a return to form for Uncharted to me, because the damage values are more representive of Uncharted 2 1.04 not any of the crappy subsequent patches.
Obviously, the multiplayer needs some tweaking for balance purposes. (That micro is almost too beastly, and the Kickbacks have a tendency to start a chain of getting medals that will net you another kickback activation too quickly)
But, this has taken elements from COD, but not the core elements that make COD what it is. COD is a twitch based shooter, Uncharted 3 is not, and Uncharted 2 1.05 and onward, was close to being so. I'm glad Naughty Dog has returned the MP that I found so dear. (:
