Tough one really, as i have adapted as i have gone a long as someone has mentioned earlier, i will adapt for better reasons, such as the controllers from each ps console, controls have gone more complex,and online gaming.
Things I will not adapt to are- complete overhauls of games, you cannot build up a fan base with a certain game and change it's genre completley to fit a trend ( Resident evil for example and final fantasy for example) to brilliant franchises ruined this generation/ end of last gen
Dlc for greedy developers, certain dlc's are worth the buy, rockstar are good with this, undead nightmare and the GTA addons where perfect examples of good DLC, resident evil 5's Dlc which was already on the disc (that you have already paid for) is not on people should not adapt to that sort of behaviour, your being robbed blind!
motion controls are ok as a gimmick, but as a hard core gamer i will be happy if the controller stays The main focus of games
