Those are Mario games, they sell gangbusters anyway. What about the non Ninty Wii games?? How come the 3rd party core games on WIi dont even come close to those Mario game sales?? Not saying those are not "core" games but they are, as you say in a minority. Why havent the majortiy of Wii owners bought, COD for instance??? 1) Look at the sales of MK on the GC, or the N64, or the SNES. You must either accept that the Wii has a core userbase more than 3 times the size of the SNES's, or that casual gamers buy core games. Choose one!

 

2) Wii owners do not buy CoD because they have taste :P No, really it's because they get lazy/late ports and the developers were unable to get good online on the Wii.

1 Ill go with the first one cause that is data that can be proven

2 There was only one late port and even that wasnt lazy. If you only own a WIi what difference does it make that another console gets the better version?? COD is COD. Either people with just a Wii dont care about COD or there are more multiplat owners than their are people with just a WIi and they are buying it for the HDs.

Casual and Core is the wrong terms to use, Wii sells family oriented affair much better than the other two. and the other two sell "hardcore" games better than Wii. What that means for MS??? THey have no Mario in their stable the closest thing they have is Halo and they have their fanbase. THe grandmas and soccer moms who bought 360 for Kinect are not just going to start playing something that isnt family friendly, at least the majority of them will not
