Hehe, these games were/are also on my backlog:

Batman:Arkham Asylum
Final Fantasy XIII
Bioshock

I finished Bioshock today (always seems to happen the day before an exam), Batman I finished some weeks ago and FFXIII I'm at a boss battle (been so long I don't remember the name). I'm not going to go back to FF at the moment, as for the other 2, I would say:

Bioshock: If you like playing alone at night and you have a good sound system then I would definitely vote that you give it a try. It's not that difficult (somehow it seems to be though), and the art-design is superb. Very atmospheric and balanced. Just check if the controls are fine for you and also whether the fact that there's no real penalty for death is not a game-breaker. 8/10

Batman: It's a cool game, and very good for a licensed game. I think its a tad over-rated, but that's to be expected. A very short game, so at least give the opening a try (I guarantee it'll suck you in) and see if it can keep your interest. Combat mechanic was strange for me, but it worked. Never too challenging. 7/10

I think you should rather try and get laid than play FFXIII.
