Anyone try that hair dryer trick on YLOD?

I don't think a hair dryer can get hot enough. I used a heat gun ($49.99 at Sears) and after the 4th YLOD, I just reflowed it one last time and sold it to a pawn shop for $150.00 and bought a Slim.
