And yet your analogy is STILL wrong. If a guy took a pistol and altered the handle on it for customization knowing that by doing the asthetic customized grip it would be possible to then alter the chamber to allow a fireing rate beyond the legal limit, but it all starts with the handle grip, If it were posted online how to alter the original guys grip to allow for automatic firing, I'd say the guy that altered the handle acted irresponsibly. My analogy goes out the window if you TRULY believe the guy didnt know it would allow that to be possible, then i say the guy make it CLEAR that its not right, condemns the acts until they cease and works at fixing the issue. I hate comparing things like this to serious topics like guns....in the end, as i said, just because you can doesn't mean you should. Just like anything, we chose or moral fights/values and they are our own. What some people refuse to accept, in this very thread, is some people love this industry enough to want it to be profitable and see companies and devs, and while those defending geohot could all very well feel the same way, they dont feel that allowing pirated games effects that. Just a different view, and thats okay. Ive acknowledged it, those who refuse to accept some of us find this kids actions as irresponsible just cant accept it. Feigning ignorance is easy, but its also easy to spot from a mile away. |
What I'm presenting has nothing to do with the legal limit of gun modification, simply, if you have a gun, you can do a lot of damage whether or not it's modded. You don't even have to get them legally, but where are you pointing that thing is the key factor as a civillian. If I did something fucked up, I would be responsible because it was my choice, playing the blame game is always dumb as hell.
