| MaxwellGT2000 said: Good video, funny how things can change in 20 years, in those days everyone thought games were for only little kids or adults with too much time on their hands, then you go forward a few years SNES was for "kids" still and Genesis was there to jump on that and say how "rad" their system was and during this time was the first spots of where "video games cause violence" with Mortal Kombat and then the rating system went into effect, then few years later video games were blamed on school shootings cause parents didn't have anything else to blame but things like Doom at the time, time passed by Sony became market leader trying to be "a system not for little kids" basically the same thing genesis claimed but it worked this time around and video games get the image of teenagers and immature people playing them and more politicians blaming games for violence, then you come to today where Nintendo is back no longer called a kids system but one for everyone and you got the old soccer moms playing it and everyone now knows who Mario is, being an old gamer myself its funny how things come full circle, but the bottom line for all the years of gaming whatever is memorable is usually fun and the fun you had playing with friends, cheers! |
