Anyone else bothered by only supporting 16:9 resolutions in pc games?

Same as Dungeon Siege 3, I select 1280x1024 and it just fills the top and bottom of the screen with black.

There is something else going on for you.  I just pulled out my backup monitor (21' Sony CRT 4x3) and it auto ajusts fullscreen  @1280x1024

Maybe they patched it by now? They promised to fix it in 1.3 I finished the game with patch 1.1 and 1.2, 1.3 wasn't out yet.

Sometimes I wonder why I still bother playing games when they come out :/ I'll hold off on my dungeon siege 3 purchase until they add mouse look and 4:3 ratio.

Im running 1.1 (they are at 1.2 right now).  Unless I have problems I never patch my games (or unless there are important fixes, like the Witcher 1).  The game runs great for me, so the "performance" extras arent enough for me to patch.
