5 pills for a cold?! Wtf?! Did he at least tell you what each of them was for? And I think people need to do their own research rather than just accepting their Doctors recommendations. It's not the medicine that's the problem in a lot of cases, but the people prescribing them. I especially hate the idea of giving kids drugs like Ridalin. There are just too many unknowns in a developing mind and body. I feel sorry for you having had so many pills forced down you at such a young age, it just sounds like overkill. |
He gave me Advil Cold and Sinus something, Tylenol 3's, A cough syrup (perscription), two anti-biotics. He said all the medication was nescessary as he thought I had a very bad virus. I was like why do i have so much, he was like
-The Tylenol 3's have something in them that helps stop you from caughing
-The advil will clear your sinuses and help with the coughing
-The cough syrup will also help with both the coughing, sore throat and sinuses
Then he said he thought the virus was mutating into an infect but he didn't know what kind of infection so he gave me two different anti-biotics to kill any infection.
I took them all for like a day or two before stopping. I was like "hell no" I'm not taking five different drugs for a cold. Granted I still have the cold and its been over a month since I got it. But I'd rather have a slight cold (It feels alot better now then it used too) then take five freaking drugs.
