Wow this op is the most close-minded, childish and missinformed thing I have read in a while. I am guessing the guy is american and thinks that the US of A = the world. I love wine especially red. I am half italian and in italy, it is in the culture to drink wine and simply enjoy the taste. There is nothing more awesome than having a beautifull bottle of wine with an italian salid or sea food dish. I also enjoy a nice ten year old wiskey with the boys when we get out of the lab. But hey, I am from an upper middle class family so perhaps it is just my upbringing where I was taught to enjoy alchohol and wine for what it really is.
