Reviews were mostly based on the 360 version, which is apparently significantly worse than the PS3 version which is significantly worse than the PC version. Regarding the frame-rate, the 360 version runs at an unlocked 30 FPS, which means that it can basically drop to 15 and then jump back up to 28 and then drop back down to 17 at any random moment. The PS3 version runs at a locked 30 FPS, that's why your experience seems to differ from the reviews.
It's another case of 'Western Media Bias' when it comes to choosing a main platform to review a game on, the PS3 version is usually overlooked, even when it is a significantly better game and it seems to be happening much more as of recently.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
