Its funny that this post was made just a few minutes ago. I was looking at the sales data of both consoles and games. In terms of hardware the Xbox is way behind the Wii and just behind the PS3 (that will change when the Japanese data gets added though).
When you look at game sales things look even worse, only 2 titles in the top 10 and both at the bottom of the table. It looks like Microsoft have made a massive mistake pushing Kinect so hard. They are forgetting that this is an add on device, with an additional cost. This means that even though Kinect is doing well sales wise it certainly dont mean that 54 million console will equal 54 million Kinect devices. The Wiis controllers were its motion sensing device. Unless you needed a lot more controllers, no extra layout. Hardcore fans are not going to be happy with the direction the company is taking.
