Uhh not really. Most games tend to have two or three year dev cycles, so years are bound to follow a pattern. Don't know how that makes the industry 'revolve' around them.

Yeah, and isn't Max Payne 3 releasing next year. Saint's Row 3 might be delayed to 2012 too. I bet Dragon Age 3 releases next year too considering the short dev cycle of DA2. We could also see a Left 4 Dead 3
