As for the topic at hand, i can't believe BB would pull something like that. First off, it's far from illegal, and secondly, it doesn't go against company policy for an adult (technically a legal guardian) who is of age to purchase an R-rated film or an M rated game for a minor.
Not to mention, an M rated game shouldn't be an issue for a minor at all, so long as the child has decent parents. I bought the original Turok in 3rd grade, and GTAIII when I was in 8th, and I turned out just fine. I'm probably one of the least violent people I know.
