I enjoy trophies as incentive to experience a game more thoroughly and for added challenges. I only try to get a platinum if it is a difficult one though. I respect a gamer much more if they have a few difficult platinums like Dead Space 2, Demons Souls, Mirror's Edge etcetera as opposed to a trophy whore who has 30 platinums in games like Megamind or Saw.
