I do like them and when the game is fun and the achievement list is smart and well made, i try to get them all. If the game is meh and the achievement list requires multiple playthroughs or an insane amount of grinding, i won´t do them.

One clear example of this is the game Luxor, it was a fun game for a while.... but the achievement list was so damn frustrating that i simply couldn´t stand it.

And on the other side, a game like Castlevania: Lords of shadow, had a perfect balance, for me the game was great and didn´t mind playing through it a couple of times, also the achievements only required to find all the gems, purchasing all movements, complete all trials and clear all stages on the hardest difficulty, which was a good challenge and i would not mind doing it for a game like Zelda if it had this feature.

Well made lists, fun achievements are good, frustrating and nearly impossible ones...not so much.
