I'll admit it then. Im a nerd. I enjoy comparing and the feeling they give of accomplishment. But you are right they really have no value in terms of unlocking something new in the game. Mainly just ego boosters. I think a lot of it also depends on ones personality that determines how important achievements/trophies are to you. Im just competative in that regard and like the feeling of accomplishment. I also understand some people just think they are annoying and could care less.
