PC games sell best in the UK and the key genres are MMO and FPS. This is why Valve Corp. ports all their games to console instead of making a dedicated game.
That's pretty bad becouse PC games are being destroyed in almost every week by console games there. In the UK top 40 there are normally few PC games and in some week even all 40 titles are on consoles.
In Germany PC gaming market is less than half value of console market (data for year 2007).
In Spain monthly charts on adese.es indicate that consoles are much more important than PC: in most months all top 10 are console titles and a PC title in top 10 is a rare event.
Im not sure if France and Italy charts include PC games (I haven't seen single PC title on them) but I'm also pretty sure that PC isn't there bigger than consoles.
What you are saying about PC market size in Europe is simply false.
