And as an aside, I hope that they phase out the penny. Costs more to produce than it's worth, and no one really cares about it. Penny candy might be affected, but that's all I can think of. Oh, and take a penny, leave a penny. |
Yah I'm all for getting rid of the penny. Heck I have a couple thousand pennies just sitting in a jar. Gonna go to the bank eventually and use em but they aren't really worth much on their own. Also I haven't seen 1cent candies in stores for along time. All I see are five sent ones. It would also be nice to see retailers pricing their products at say 10$ rather then 9.99$ to make it sound cheaper lol!
As for colour, the Canadian currency has been colourful for years. I hate going to America and wondering how much money I have. So many times I've given a twenty instead of a one. Luckily the employees have been honest and not stolen my money. I prefer being able to see the colour and know which bill is which! Colour makes life so much easier!

You might be right on the candy bit...it's been maybe 8 or 9 years since I bought candy from a gas station station.
