I'd give it about an 8.5/10. Great show, though it would probably have been harder to follow if you've never read the book. Look forward to the second season as I'm reading A Clash of Kings right now :P |
A Clash of Kings is a better book, IMO, and 100 pages shorter than GoT. So hopefully that will mean a better season because the source material is better, and there's more scope for retaining a larger proportion of original scenes and dialogue. I hope they have the budget for us to see the dragons frequently and the direwolves more often than in this season.
Enjoy the book, I'm re-reading it at the moment, hoping to get through a re-read of the whole series before a Dance with Dragons comes out in July.
