I dno't think that staying in your house is a good idea.
I'm thinking like something from The Walking Dead comics, a defendable fortress-type environment. As long as you're able to conduct stealth missions to get what supplies you need, weapons are minimal in my country but thankfully so are fit people, haha. Which means there would be not many survivors (although that means more zombies, it also means less living competition).
Essentially, most of Scotland's central belt would be full of lethargic, overweight or ageing zombies. Not too bad, I think I could handle it?
