Then I realized that I don't have a good cutting board so after looking into that, I decided I wanted to make one. Sharp knives are less likely to cause you to cut yourself since they don't slip off whatever you're cutting.

It's a lot of fun when the knives are sharp, too. You can cut stuff with much ease.

Yeah well I did eventually buy a cheapo cutting board and a couple of relatively cheap knives because what I initially owned was atrochious. I was extremely impressed with how well the knives cut through. Te feel of it was so drastic that it didn't seem like I was cutting the same meats, all this from a minor upgrade. I will eventually make a bigger jump in quality, probably when I can invest more time to cooking as a whole.
