You are misunderstanding me. I am just a cautious gamer. I'm a survivor haha. I think depending on extra lives is a crutch I shouldn't have to use (I'm talking about single-player). In multiplayer games that's not really a viable strategy, but I like to survive, to never "lose" in a single-player game.
When I'm playing multiplayer (even in an FPS) I see it as a sport. When I "kill" an enemy, I see it as me scoring. When I'm killed, I was scored on. The goal of the sport is to win. It's just competition, using a medium of digital guns.
