Well it can be if the recipe tells things like "cook the vegetables until they are ready". How do I know if they are ready?

OT. I can cook a little, not much but enough to be well fed (although I can't do rice, it always goes wrong ).

ot: I suck and the mess I have to clean afterwards isn't worth the sucky meal I end up with.
